Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell had a second foreign client which he did not disclose to the United States government. In this case, he was working for Hungary’s right wing government. These are the same violations members of Trump’s campaign have gone to prison over and would normally keep someone from being granted a security clearance. Instead, Grenell is overseeing all seventeen US intelligence agencies.
The president tweeted today that things looked fine in the stock market during the third largest Dow point loss in US history. Later in the day, he tweeted that Justices Ginsburg and Sotomayor should recuse themselves from any cases related to him in any way.
Acting Deputy DHS Secretary Ken Cuccinelli is part of the coronavirus task force and has previously entertained the discredited conspiracy theory that the virus was genetically engineered by the Chinese. Today, Cuccinelli asked Twitter if a Johns Hopkins outbreak map was down or not. Needless to say, Homeland Security has better resources for tracking the virus than a non-government website.
