- Trump was briefed about the whistleblower complaint shortly before the aid to Ukraine was released. The timeline is nearly complete now and supports the Democrats’ narrative.
- Per testimony which was released today, two OMB employees resigned over concerns that the delay in Ukrainian aid was illegal.
- Secretary of State Pompeo said today Ukraine should be investigated for 2016 election interference. Ukraine did not interfere in the election and the idea that they did has been confirmed as a conspiracy theory pushed by Russian intelligence.
- In an interview, Trump said that people would have to talk to Rudy Giuliani to find out what he was doing in Ukraine. Not only has Rudy said he was working on behalf of the president, the president told multiple people in the US government and Ukrainian president Zelensky to contact Giuliani over US foreign policy. The idea that Giuliani was acting on his own is complete nonsense.
- DHS recordkeeping was so poor during the “child separation” policy that the inspector general is unsure as to exactly how many children were separated or how many have not been reunited with their parents. DHS knew they would be unable to track every child before the policy was put in place. They took them anyway.
